It tells the stories of a group of boys locked up in the Institute of Juvenile Punishment in Naples.

The two protagonists are Carmine Di Salvo and Filippo Ferrari, two teenagers who get arrested on the same day but come from completely opposite backgrounds.

The former belongs to a Neapolitan Camorra family from which he would like to escape, while the latter is a young pianist from Milan.

Both are arrested for murder.

While Carmine, born into the world of crime, knows the rules perfectly, Filippo finds himself in a totally new reality.

Immediately targeted by the other inmates, they especially attract the attention of Ciro Ricci, son of a feared Camorra boss and established as a leader within the penitentiary.

Each inmate has his own story. Some of them made poor choices dictated by necessity, whilst others have been arrested for crimes they did not commit…

All are under the age of eighteen at the time of their arrest, and many of them believe their only mistake was getting caught.
