ASKED QUESTIONS
Do many people still speak Shanghainese?
It’s estimated around 20% of the population of Shanghai still speak Shanghainese. The dialect is indeed a dying one, but that is part of the reason why we want to teach it, because we care. Shanghainese can open up more doors than one might think. Because of this our Shanghainese Lessons are actually really popular especially with students who have some form of affiliation to Shanghai.
Do any of your team speak Shanghainese?
Our native Shanghai teachers and our curriculum developers of course!
Can I cancel a class if I am busy?
You can indeed cancel and re-book your Shanghainese Classes at no extra cost, with just a few clicks of a button. You need to give us 72 hours notice to receive all your credits back. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance are not refunded.
Do you have materials I can use to review after class?
Certainly! After each class, our teachers upload annotated files onto the system. Simply navigate to “My Past Classes,” then click on “Class Details” to download the annotation file.
