HOW TO SAY WITH IN VIETNAMESE

Với has exactly the same meaning of “with” in English. It can be used as follow:

WITH IN VIETNAMESE WITH CÙNG
Besides “với, you can also use “cùng” to express someone “with” someone, something “with” something:
PATTERN
Subject 1 + Verb + cùng + Subject 2
| Tôi về nhà cùng mẹ tôi | I come home with my mother | 
| Cô ấy ăn tối cùng chồng | She has dinner with her husband | 
| Anh ấy đến trường cùng vợ | He goes to school with his wife |

When you want to express “together”, this is how you can speak in Vietnamese:
PATTERN
Subject 1 + với (with) + Subject 2 + verb + cùng nhau (together)
| Tôi với mẹ về nhà cùng nhau | I come home together with my mom | 
| Cô ấy với chồng ăn tối cùng nhau | She has dinner together with her husband | 
| Anh ấy với vợ đến trường cùng nhau | He goes to school together with his wife |

When you want to make a question with “với/cùng”, please follow this structure:

Subject + verb + với ai? / cùng ai? (with who?)

The most common sentence structures are:
