Snvv and Sang năm vất vả, are alternatives to the original “Happy birthday” in Vietnamese.

In fact, the original Happy Birthday in Vietnamese is “Chúc mừng sinh nhật” and “Sinh nhật vui vẻ“.

The “Snvv” abbreviation is used in chat or the comment sections on Social Media Networks.

Generally this is used within the younger generation.

People also say “sang năm vất vả” which means to wish a person a “hard year”!
